MALAYSIA'S inflation doubled in June to 7.7 per cent to hit a 26-year high following steep fuel hikes at the beginning of the month. (KUALA LUMPUR) Dominant fixed-line provider Telekom Malaysia is on track to roll out the first phase of a US$4.7 billion project to build a nationwide high- speed broadband network, a top official said yesterday. MALAYSIAN steel millers may have successfully fended off a planned windfall tax, but are still under pressure to temporarily halt exports to ensure domestic steel prices and supplies are stable.
